A decision to close the school in an emergency situation, such as in the case of severe adverse weather conditions, will only be made by the Headteacher if it is absolutely necessary to do so.

School closures will be communicated prior to the start of the school day as soon as possible in the following ways:

A News alert will be posted on the home page (under the 'Latest News' section) and the red alert bar will be activated at the top of the website with the closure notice.


ParentMail:

A ParentMail SMS and email will be sent out to all parents/carers prior to the start of the school day.
 
 
Medway SEN transport providers (taxis) will also be informed of emergency school closures by the Academy.
